Since we've invited my mom and sister to come spend Thanksgiving with us, Scott thought it would be a good idea to make a practice turkey before the big day.
We were planning on cooking this past Sunday but the turkey didn't thaw in time. So, instead, Scott worked from home yesterday and spent the whole afternoon preparing, stuffing, basting, and checking on the turkey. And, lucky me, I got to come home from work to a mini thanksgiving meal. It was delicious! And now we have leftovers for days.
While eating dinner, motivation hit and we decided to go to Home Depot before it closed at 9pm, buy paint, come home and paint our bedroom. We had started priming this weekend but had left it unfinished -- so we stayed up 'til midnight last night finishing the whole room (including high ceilings). Next we paint! It'll be exciting because we got a new king sized bed and new bedding, so we're on our way to making a nice cozy place to rest and dream. It's hard work turning a house into a home!!
