Charlotte and I went out to a Halloween party last night at a club in downtown Denver. We've been out downtown several times since we moved, and it's still strange to me that we have to drive. Fortunately, it's only about 20 minutes from our house, so it's not a huge deal to head into the city.
The organizers moved the event to a much smaller venue this year without appreciably pruning the guest list. Talk about crowded... By the end of the night we pretty much had to go wherever the crowd took us, our free will only an illusion. Good times, though!
Charlotte came up with the plan to be a leopard before I had any clue as to what I'd be. She did a fantastic job with her makeup, just like last year! I'd thought briefly of tying my costume in with hers by being a hunter (with her as my prey), but had dismissed the idea until our friend Jon mentioned it last weekend. Suddenly it seemed doable! As can be seen in the photo gallery, the only casualty of the evening was that my mustache crawled off my face during the festivities. Dancing, sweating, and glue-on mustaches are a bad combination.
