GABF

Charlotte and I volunteered at the Great American Beer Festival yesterday. Working with us were our buddies Jason and the Krez. Imagine combining a serious beer tasting with Mardi Gras. That's the best way I can describe the GABF for those who've never attended.

The highlight of this year's GABF for me was working the Kalamazoo Brewing Company booth. Bell's is some fine beer, but they don't sell it out here. If you're reading this in the Great Lakes area, have an Oberon Ale and think of me...

Today we discussed making next year our final GABF. I've been working at it for about six years, and it was Charlotte's second time volunteering. It's always great time, but it ends up eating up a whole weekend. Plus, a retirement ceremony would be a great excuse to bring back former GABF co-workers for a last hurrah. Mikey T and Charlie -- get ready for Beer Fest '06!

Charlotte Says: "After posting the photos from this event, I've come to the conclusion that BEER MAKES PEOPLE SMILE!"
