Charlotte and I went out to a Halloween party last night at a club in downtown Denver. We've been out downtown several times since we moved, and it's still strange to me that we have to drive. Fortunately, it's only about 20 minutes from our house, so it's not a huge deal to head into the city.

Since we've invited my mom and sister to come spend Thanksgiving with us, Scott thought it would be a good idea to make a practice turkey before the big day.
We were planning on cooking this past Sunday but the turkey didn't thaw in time. So, instead, Scott worked from home yesterday and spent the whole afternoon preparing, stuffing, basting, and checking on the turkey. And, lucky me, I got to come home from work to a mini thanksgiving meal. It was delicious! And now we have leftovers for days.
We went to the Jason Mraz concert at the Fillmore in Denver. But not to see Jason Mraz (we agree that he's pretty talented but neither of us are really into his music). The real reason we went was to see James Blunt, the opening act. He's this sexy british singer. I love him. I think Scott likes his music, but not as much as I do! I love James Blunt. Unfortunately, we arrived at the concert a little late because of traffic and parking -- so we really only got to see him perform 3 songs. So saaaad. He was great though... sounded really good live. After he performed he was signing CDs in the back, but I was too shy to meet him. He's not so big in the States (yet) but you might hear the song "You're Beautiful" on the radio every now and then. It's a nice song.
Charlotte and I volunteered at the Great American Beer Festival yesterday. Working with us were our buddies Jason and the Krez. Imagine combining a serious beer tasting with Mardi Gras. That's the best way I can describe the GABF for those who've never attended.
