Charlotte and I just got back from a trip to Northville to see family. My sister, her husband, and two of my step-sisters were there at the same time, so we were able to visit with them and all their children in addition to my mom, the Almeister, and my grandma.
Over the past few years it's been a little tradition that everybody tries to make it to Michigan in August as our family grows and grows, and we were happy to make the trip.
It was a lot of fun to see the youngsters. I hadn't seen Valerie's son, Will, since Christmas, and it was terrific to see how he's coming along. Amy's sons, Seby and Sydney, are always a lot of fun to have around. I just wish we'd been able to stay around Northville for the Blue Moon ice cream aftermath! Also, this was almost everybody's first time seeing Molly's daughter, Kendall. Kendall's the first girl in the new generation with four boys already in the mix.
As usual, the visit was too short, but it was good to get back home last night. We now have less than three weeks to moving day, and lots to accomplish by then!

It was great to see you both, too! As always, it was too short... you're right about that! Again, congratulations on your engagement and the house purchase. Looking forward to a trip out there once you get moved it! Love, Valerie
Oops... I meant "moved in"... duh
